Difference between speed and velocity :
In mathematics and physics, the terms velocity and acceleration are often used to describe the motion of an object. These are words we often use interchangeably without realizing it. Everyone needs to understand the difference between speed and acceleration. The basic difference between velocity and velocity is that acceleration refers to the movement in a direction, whereas acceleration relates to the motion and direction of that object.
What is Speed?
Speed is a measure of the distance traveled by a person or object in a given amount of time, without considering the direction of the object. In other words, velocity is the distance traveled by an object in a given time depending on the direction in which it is moving. If there is no direction part, it means that the direction has no trace but only its magnitude. Consequently, velocity is considered as a scalar number. To get the average speed, divide the total distance traveled by the total time needed to travel that distance.

The unit we use to express speed in the SI system is meters per second (m/ s), while in the CGS system, it is Centimeters per second (cm/s).
What is Velocity?
